Sarah McCrory, Milovan Farronato, Laura McLean-Ferris and Catherine Wood discuss their approach to the complex field of commissioning new works
In this new series of four sessions organised by Sarah McCrory, respected curators discuss differing aspects of this wide-ranging practice.
Commissioning is the series' second session, investigating how curators work with artists and move forward with new commissions. Looking at the process from inception to realisation, leading curators Milovan Farronato, Laura McLean-Ferris and Catherine Wood will discuss their own approach to commissioning new works. This will include examining commissions for public spaces, commissioning live/performance art and working with collections.
This series is a must-attend for anyone interested in pursuing a career as a curator or studying this field.
