What was the first work of art you loved? 

Chris Marker’s La Jetée (The Jetty, 1962), which I saw on television as a child.

What’s underrated?

Bad television.

What’s the most important book you’ve read lately? 

Philip Rucker and Carol D. Leonnig’s A Very Stable Genius: Donald J. Trump’s Testing of America (2020).

What surprises people about you? 

I’m ordinary looking.

What do you like to do when you’re alone? 

Puzzles.
