The fifteenth edition of Frieze London and the sixth edition of Frieze Masters take place in The Regent’s Park on 5-8 October 2017, with an invitation only Preview on Wednesday 4 October.

With more than 160 of the world’s leading galleries at Frieze London and 130 at Frieze Masters, the two fairs, alongside Frieze Sculpture - a free public showcase of major outdoor art - together catalyze the most significant week in London’s cultural calendar.

New for 2017, Frieze London welcomes curator Ruba Katrib (SculptureCenter, New York) to co-advise the Focus section dedicated to emerging galleries. Meanwhile, Ralph Rugoff (Hayward Gallery, London) curates Frieze Talks for the first time, exploring how art and artist’s capacity to beguile, disorientate and disrupt conventional notions of the real takes on new meanings in an age of ‘alternative facts’. Finally, Sex Work is a new themed gallery section devoted to the legacy of radical feminist artists, curated by Alison Gingeras (independent curator). Frieze Projects, curated by Raphael Gygax (Migros Museum, Zurich), features commissions from 11 international artists, including the Frieze Artist Award winner Kiluanji Kia Henda.

Frieze Masters sees Tim Marlow (Royal Academy of Arts, London) take the helm of the celebrated Frieze Masters Talks program. The Spotlight section for rare solo presentations of 20th-century pioneers, curated by Toby Kamps (newly appointed Director and Chief Curator of the Blaffler Art Museum, University of Houston) and Collections, featuring specialist galleries with extraordinary art and objects, selected by Sir Norman Rosenthal (independent curator).

The press releases for Frieze London and Frieze Masters have details and more highlights of each fair, with more content regularly published on Frieze.com in the coming weeks.
