Applications for Frieze New York 2018 are now open. The fair will take place the first week of May next year on Randall’s Island in New York.

Applicants must demonstrate a commitment to the artist(s), show an international program and present a minimum of four exhibitions per year in their galleries. Any gallery who applies must be a commercial venture.

In addition to the main section, the seventh edition of the fair will feature Frame, Focus and Spotlight:

Frame is a destination for discovery within the fair, bringing together solo presentations by emerging artists. The section is open to galleries opened in or after 2010, and is advised for the first time by Ruba Katrib, Curator at SculptureCenter, and Andrew Bonacina, Chief Curator at The Hepworth Wakefield.
Focus is a platform for galleries opened in or after 2006, offering the opportunity to showcase ambitious, curated presentations and benefit from a subsidized rate. Focus stands will be dispersed across the fair, alongside main section galleries.
Toby Kamps, Jane Dale Owen Director and Chief Curator of the Blaffer Art Museum, will return as the curator for Spotlight, a section which reveals foundational moments in art history since 1960, and features rarely-seen work by both overlooked figures and iconic artists.

Participation is by online application: http://applications-newyork.frieze.com/.

Applications close August 3, 2017.
