Gallery applications for Frieze New York are now open
Applications for Frieze New York 2020 are now open.
The ninth edition of the fair will take place in Randall’s Island Park, from Wednesday, May 6 through Sunday, May 10.
Focus and Frame continue Frieze’s long-term commitment to supporting and showcasing today’s most exciting young and mid-level spaces.
Focus allows galleries up to 15-years old to showcase their program alongside main section galleries at a lower rate than main section pricing.
Frame is open to galleries who are 10-years of age or younger and allows these galleries to participate at a lower rate than Focus, in order to bring together and support solo presentations by emerging artists.
Curated by Laura Hoptman (Executive Director, The Drawing Center), Spotlight reveals foundational moments in art history of the 20th century through solo presentations of rarely-seen work by both overlooked figures and iconic artists.
Patrick Charpenel and Susanna V. Temkin (Director and Curator of El Museo del Barrio) will return to present for a second time, Diálogos.
Following the success of its inaugural edition in New York, Brett Littman (Director of the Isamu Noguchi Foundation and Garden Museum) will also return to oversee Frieze Sculpture at Rockefeller Center. The 2020 display will explore the history of the Elgin Garden (the current Channel Gardens at Rockefeller Center) and an interest in our relationship with the natural world.
