This year Frieze New York is collaborating with the Ray Johnson Estate to continue the "New York Correspondence School" – an ongoing mail art project founded by Ray Johnson with past participants including Andy Warhol, Ed Ruscha, Lynda Benglis and many more.
Frieze have redistributed one of Ray Johnson’s original ‘Add to and Return’ templates to their participating galleries. More than 50 artists have responded to the project so far, as well as students from NYU and members of the ‘Frieze Teens’ education program.

The project can also be viewed in the windows of 80WSE gallery - on Broadway at East 10th street Windows - from March 14 to May 5, 2019; and at Frieze New York in Randall's Island Park from May 2–5, 2019.
