Frieze Talks will be co-programmed for the first time by Lydia Yee (Chief Curator, Whitechapel Gallery) and Matthew McLean (Senior Editor, Frieze Studios).

Taking place daily in the Frieze London auditorium, Frieze Talks will explore the role played by autobiography in art and society, at a time when personal experience is increasingly being made public and also under renewed scrutiny. Highlights from this year’s programme include:

Thursday
12.30pm
Contemporary Art Society Curatorial Summit: ‘Private in the Public Realm: Towards New Alliances’. A series of case studies presented by curators and museum leaders from the UK and beyond, addressing new models of partnerships between the public and private sector in the arts. Speakers include; Nick Thorton (National Museum, Wales), Antonia Carver (Art Jameel, Dubai), Josh Ginsburg (A4 Art Foundation, Cape Town), Katerina Gregos (Riga Biennial).

Panel: ‘On Social Work’ With Sonia Boyce (artist; London), Ipek Duben (artist; Istanbul), Mary Kelly (artist; Los Angeles) & Berni Searle (artist; Cape Town) Chaired by Louisa Buck (writer; London).

Keynote Lecture: Alexander Chee (author; Boston).
