Margo Neale

Margo Neale lives in Canberra, Australia. She is adjunct professor of the Australian National University, co-editor of the Oxford Companion to Aboriginal Art and Culture (2001) and the senior Indigenous curator and principal advisor to the director of the National Museum of Australia, Canberra, where she was the inaugural director of the Gallery of First Australians (2001). She curated the 2008 international touring exhibition ‘Utopia: The Genius of Emily Kame Kngwarreye’ and, in 2017–18, ‘Songlines: Tracking the Seven Sisters’ at the National Museum of Australia.
