Please join us for the first event in a three-part Frieze Academy series – examining contemporary art from Southeast Asia, held in partnership with Singapore Tourism Board. The inaugural symposium will focus on performance and video art, bringing leading practitioners from both inside and outside the region into conversation about the history of contemporary art in Southeast Asia, and its place within an international context.

This inaugural event will establish the overall intention of the three-part series – to bring contemporary Southeast Asian art into an international dialogue.

Speakers: Catherine Wood Senior Curator, International Art (Performance) at Tate Modern; Siuli Tan Head of Collections and Senior Curator at Singapore Art Museum; Ezzam Rahman, Artist
