Frieze 91 x Rajan Bijlani: Cocktail & Exhibition Preview of ‘SYNCRETIC VOICES: Art & Design in South Asian Diaspora’

October 2024
London, United Kingdom

Join us for a cocktail and an exhibition preview hosted by Rajan Bijlani at his home in Primrose Hill.

Syncretic Voices is an exhibition conceptualized by Rajan Bijlani (b. 1984, London), uniting artists and designers of South Asian origin in his home, the historic London townhouse, Fonthill Pottery. This inaugural exhibition will be co-curated by Michael Jefferson (b. 1973) and Truls Blaasmo (b. 1987), and will take place in October 2024 during the nearby Frieze London.

Founded by Emmanuel Cooper, Fonthill Pottery was in operation from 1973-76 on Fonthill Road, Finsbury Park, before relocating to Primrose Hill. Immersed in the context of this former art studio and home, the exhibition aims to highlight diverse practices, uniting contrasting artistic disciplines in a single, cohesive experience, while paying homage to the rich history of arts embedded in the building itself.
