Author Ottessa Moshfegh in conversation with writer Patty Yumi Cottrell.

Ottessa Moshfegh is a fiction writer from Boston. She was awarded the Plimpton Prize for her stories in The Paris Review and granted a creative writing fellowship from the National Endowment for the Arts and a Stegner fellowship at Stanford. Her first book, McGlue, a novella, won the Fence Modern Prize in Prose and the Believer Book Award. Her novel Eileen was published to great acclaim in 2015 and was shortlisted for the 2016 Man Booker Prize. Her short story collection Homesick for Another World was published in 2017.

Patty Yumi Cottrell is the author of Sorry to Disrupt the Peace. Her work has appeared in Buzzfeed, Bomb, The White Review, Vice, among other places. She lives in New York. She is a winner of a 2018 Whiting Award.
