Giuseppe Arcimboldo-meets-the-atelier in Vicky Wright's fantastical painted portraits, with profiles made up of the hands, threads, gestures and tools of northern working-class seamstresses. Working the 'Night Shift' – after which the show is titled – as these women sew they dream about culture and couture, worlds to which feel both very close to them and very far removed.
