In this audio work, Laser ventriloquizes the voices of Donald Trump and an investigative reporter in a philosophical dialogue that takes on the character of therapeutic ruminations. With voice actors Julie Cummings and Chris Ferretti. Recorded and edited with Phil Lee at CityVox.

Liz Magic Laser’s (b. 1981, New York, USA. Lives and works in Brooklyn, New York, USA) work has been the subject of solo exhibitions at Mercer Union, Toronto; Wilfried Lentz, Rotterdam; Various Small Fires, Los Angeles (all 2015); Paula Cooper Gallery, New York; the Westfälischer Kunstverein, Münster; DiverseWorks, Houston, Texas (all 2013); and Mälmo Konsthall, Mälmo (2012), among other venues. Laser’s first survey show took place at Kunstverein Göttingen in March, 2016.

Presented with BMW and curated by Cecilia Alemani (High Line Art, New York), Frieze Sounds will be played in the VIP 7 Series cars at Frieze New York. The works will also be accessible via a listening station inside the new Reading Room and BMW Lounge. The commissions will also be streamed online at frieze.com.
