In association with the Getty and the Institute of Fine Arts, NYU, the first ever Frieze symposium in New York will raise discussion on topics related to Latin American and Latino Art featured in the upcoming "Pacific Standard Time: LA/LA”, a far-reaching and ambitious exploration of Latin American and Latino art in dialogue with Los Angeles.

11:30am: Exhibition Focus: "Learning from Latin America: Art, Architecture and Visions of Modernism"

With Dan Fox, Jonathas de Andrade, Clara M. Kim, and Clarissa Tossin

This exhibition at the Los Angeles Municipal Art Gallery, 2017-18, will feature the work of 30 contemporary artists from Brazil, Cuba, Mexico, and Venezuela, among other countries, who have engaged with the history of modernist architecture in Latin America.

With Dan Fox (moderator), Co-Editor of frieze magazine; Jonathas de Andrade, featured artist; Clara M. Kim, Curator of the exhibition; and Clarissa Tossin, featured artist.
