Ritas at Frieze London 2019

Rita’s started out in 2012 as a pop-up above a nightclub in Dalston, serving ‘modern American comfort food’ alongside simple, well made party drinks. After making a name for themselves, the Rita’s team graduated to a standalone space in Hackney which was open from 2013-2016, leading a wave of contemporary dining in the area whilst building a much loved neighbourhood restaurant.

Most recently, founders Gabriel Pryce and Missy Flynn have been involved in residencies and take-overs both in London and abroad, including a bar takeover at Freedmans in Los Angeles, and a cooking stint at Import - Export C.A.M in Paris as well as an 8 week residency with Frieze Partner Matches Fashion at their townhouse in Mayfair.

This year will be their second time at Frieze London.

In 2018, the duo opened 'Bodega Rita’s' in Coal Drops Yard, London -  a global deli, sandwich shop and wine store which has since received rave reviews.

Their special menus for Frieze will showcase chef Gabriel Pryce’s unique take on food from across the America’s, with a heavy nod towards Mexico, alongside a bar and counter dining area where you can grab one of their infamous sandwiches for a quick lunch, or to take away.

There will also be an extensive natural wine list available as well as group and express lunch menus.

Dishes will include ; Watermelon panzanella with walnuts, jalapeno and date vinaigrette, , Bavette steak with grilled baby gem dressed in green peppercorn caesar and parmesan and white fish grilled in banana leaf with oyster mushrooms and salsa macha.
