What are the dates of the fair?

The fifth edition of Frieze Los Angeles takes place from February 29-March 3, 2024. The invitation-only preview day will be held on Thursday, February 29, 2024. The fair will be open to the public from March 1-3, 2024.

What are the fair opening hours?

Please check your ticket or pass for your entry time. 

Thursday Preview, February 29 (invitation only): 10am – 7pm 
Friday Preview, March 1: 11am – 7pm 
Saturday, March 2: 11am – 7pm 
Sunday, March 3: 11am – 6pm 

Last entry is 30 minutes before closing time on each day. 

What is the location of the fair? 
The fair will take place at Santa Monica Airport. The address for satellite navigation or online directions is: 3027 Airport Avenue, Santa Monica, 90405

Please note that the fair takes place in an indoor space, which will not be affected by the rain.

How do I get to the fair?
Due to the limited number of parking spaces available, we recommend using transit, taxi or a rideshare service, such as Alto, Uber, or Lyft to get to the fair.

Compliments of Alto, you can enjoy $10 off 2 rides to and from the fair with code FRIEZE24. Offer available to members and nonmembers, valid 3/1 - 3/3. You can also choose to try 14 days of free Membership to unlock pre-scheduled rides and booking access during busy Members-only hours along with other perks and savings.

By Rideshare 
Please search for this address on your rideshare app in order to be taken to the correct drop-off location: 3027 Airport Avenue, Santa Monica, 90405

By Car 
Visitors should please enter via College Drive to access the paid-for parking spaces. There are limited ADA parking spaces which guests can access via Donald Douglas Loop. More information regarding parking can be found here

By Bus / Metro 
The closest rail stop to the fair is the Expo/Bundy Station on the Metro E Line. From the station, you can:

  • Take Big Blue Bus Route 14 towards Inglewood and get off at southbound Bundy Dr. at Airport Ave., which is a 3-minute walk from the fair or
  • Alternatively, you can walk southbound on Bundy Dr. to Airport Ave., which is a 30-minute walk (1.5 miles) 

You can also take Big Blue Bus Route 8 to Ocean Park Blvd. and Bundy Dr., which is a 12-minute walk from the fair.

You can download the Transit app to plan your trip with real-time bus and train arrival information. You can also download the TAP LA app to pay for tickets on the Big Blue Bus and Metro rides with your smartphone.

Is there parking available at the fair?
An extremely limited number of parking lot spaces are available near the fair. It's recommended to travel by transit, taxi or a rideshare service, such as Alto, Uber or Lyft to get to the fair. If you decide to drive to the fair, please use the following address for accurate directions to the parking lot: 3171 S Bundy Dr, Los Angeles, CA 90066.

Parking is only available to purchase onsite for ticket and pass holders and costs $40 (subject to availability).  

Visitors who have not purchased an admission ticket or don't have a VIP pass will not be authorized to park in the parking lots. Please arrive half an hour before the time stated on your ticket or VIP pass for ease of entry. Last entry to the parking lots is 45 minutes before the fair closes. 

ADA Parking 
There are limited ADA parking bays available, which guests can access via Donald Douglas Loop. Please use the following address for accurate directions to ADA parking: 3235 Donald Douglas Loop S, Santa Monica, CA 90405

Please note all ADA parkers are required to have a valid DP placard or DP License Plate. 

There will be a shuttle service to the fair entrance from the parking lots.

How do I get a ticket to the fair?
Early-bird tickets are now sold out. Limited full-price tickets are now on sale. Don’t miss out and buy yours now. Alternatively, explore Frieze Membership to access the fair with special perks. Choose the right fit for you: from VIP access to guided tours, exclusive discounts and more.

Do I need a ticket for my child? / Can I bring children?    
You can bring children under 2 years old without a ticket. If your child is 2 or above, you will need to purchase a child or youth ticket for them.

  • All children aged 2 and over need a valid admission ticket to enter the fair and must be accompanied by an adult at all times
  • Children under 2 are admitted free of charge 

Where can I purchase a child ticket? 
A limited number of tickets for children aged 2 and over as well as youth are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Children must be accompanied by an adult at all times.

Are there any discounts for groups?
There are no discounts available for group bookings.

Can I bring a bag into the fair? Is there a coat check?
Large bags (including, but not limited to, suitcases, folding bicycles, scooters) or any items bigger than a handbag will not be permitted into the fair. Backpacks must not be larger than 8" x 8" x 4" to be permitted inside the fair. Visitors arriving with oversized items will be refused entry. The coat check opens half an hour before the fair opens and closes half an hour after the close of the fair. Space for coats in the coat check is extremely limited, and offered on a first-come, first-served basis. We request that where possible visitors keep their belongings with them.

Are there any restaurants or cafés at the fair?  
The fair will feature pop-ups from a selection of Los Angeles-based restaurants.

Where can I stay if I am traveling?
We have partnered with a variety of hotels in the city, with some offering special rates during the fair. You can find a list of our partner hotels here

Can I bring a buggy/stroller? 
Strollers and buggies are allowed into the fair. 

Are there any toilets or baby changing facilities at the fair?
There are toilet facilities available at the fair, including toilets with easy access for people with reduced mobility, and baby changing facilities.

Are there any cash machines at the fair?
Frieze fairs are cashless events. Only card payments are accepted.

Can I bring my pet to the fair?
There are strictly no pets allowed at the fairs, with the exception of assistance animals.

Who is the Director of the fair?
Christine Messineo is the Director of Frieze Los Angeles and Frieze New York.

How big is the fair?
Frieze Los Angeles will bring together over 95 LA-based and galleries from around the world and include an ambitious program of activations. The fair experience will be completed by Frieze Week events across the city, starting February 26, 2024. 

What is the focus of the fair?
Frieze Los Angeles largely focuses on contemporary art and celebrates the exceptionally dynamic culture of Los Angeles and its global contributions to the visual arts. The full program will be announced soon. You can find a list of participating galleries here

What are the different gallery sections of Frieze Los Angeles?The fair will include the galleries section and the much-celebrated Focus section.

What is Focus?
The Focus section of the fair is dedicated to galleries aged 12 years and younger. The Focus section in 2024 will be curated by Essence Harden, California African American Museum (CAAM), welcoming participants from across the US.

What additional programming will take place at the Frieze Los Angeles?

How are the galleries selected for the fair?
For Frieze Los Angeles 2024, there has been an application process and galleries submitted an application form. Applications closed in June and the selection was made in September. The selection is made by a committee of gallerists who participate in the fair; the fair Director chairs the meeting but does not vote.
