What are the dates of the fair?
Frieze Seoul takes place from September 4-7, 2024. The first Preview day, which is invitation-only, will be held on Wednesday, September 4, 2024. The fair will open to the public from 15:00 on Thursday, September 5, 2024.
What are the fair opening hours?
Wednesday, September 4: 11:00 –19:00 (invitation only)
Thursday, September 5: 11:00 – 19:00 (invitation and preview ticket holders only 11:00 – 15:00, open to the public from 15:00)
Friday and Saturday, September 6 – 7: 11:00 – 19:00
Please note that last admission is at 18:30. Latecomers will not be admitted into the Fair.
Where is the fair located?
Frieze Seoul will be held at COEX, in the Gangnam district in the heart of Seoul, and will run alongside Kiaf SEOUL, South Korea’s leading art fair. The fair will be held inside Hall C and D. Kiaf SEOUL will take place at Hall A, B and the Grand Ballroom.

How do I get a ticket to the fair?
Limited full-price general admission tickets are now on sale. Become a Frieze member to enjoy premier access, multi-day entry, exclusive guided tours and more.
Do I need a ticket for my child?/Can I bring children?
- All children aged 7 and over need a valid admission ticket to enter the fair.
- Children aged under 7 years of age are admitted free of charge and must be accompanied by an adult at all times.

Can I bring a bag into the fair?
Please note that large bags (including, but not limited to, suitcases, backpacks, folding bicycles, scooters) or any large items bigger than a handbag or laptop bag will not be permitted into the fair. Backpacks must not be larger than 20 cm x 20 cm x 10 cm to be permitted inside the fair. Visitors arriving with such items will be refused entry.
Visitors are welcome to use the bag drop facility located at the fair. However, large bags and suitcases, flowers or bouquets, and animals will not be accepted at the coat check. Visitors are advised to use paid-for cabinets located on the first floor at COEX, near Hall A and B. Please note that cabinets are extremely limited.
The coat check opens half an hour before the fair opens and closes half an hour after the close of the fair. Space at the coat check is extremely limited, and offered on a first-come, first-served basis. We request that where possible visitors keep their belongings with them.
Visitors must not bring any of the following items into the venue: food, drink, coffee cups, glass, sharp items, drones, laser pens, and Frieze reserves the right to confiscate any such item(s) from any person entering or at the venue. You will not be allowed to bring any glass bottles of any kind into the fair.
Where can I stay if I am travelling to the fair?
We have partnered with a variety of hotels in the city, with some offering special rates during the fair. You can find a list of our partner hotels here.
Are there any restaurants or cafés at the fair?
There will be snacks and drinks available to purchase inside the fair. There is also a shopping mall located underneath COEX, which has a variety of restaurants and bars.
Accessibility
The fair is fully accessible to people with reduced mobility. Companion/carer/caregiver tickets are available free of charge. After booking your ticket, please visit the ticket inquiries desk at the fair to collect your companion ticket. Click here to learn more about accessibility at the fair.
Can I bring a buggy/stroller?
Strollers and buggies are allowed into the fair.
Are there any toilets or baby changing facilities at the fair?
There are toilet facilities available at the fair, including toilets with easy access for people with reduced mobility, and baby changing facilities.
Are there any discounts for groups?
There are no discounts available for group bookings.
Are there any cash machines at the fair?
Frieze fairs are cashless events. Only card payments are accepted.
Can I bring my pet to the fair?
There are strictly no pets allowed at the fairs, with the exception of assistance animals.
Who is the Director of the fair?
Patrick Lee is the Director of Frieze Seoul.
What is the focus of the fair?
Frieze Seoul largely focuses on contemporary art and will be supplemented by a Frieze Masters section dedicated to art from antiquity through to the 20th century. Focus Asia, the section of the fair dedicated to galleries aged 12 years or younger will feature 10 of the most groundbreaking emerging talent from the continent. How big is the fair?
Frieze Seoul will bring together over 110 of the most influential art galleries from across Asia and beyond.
How are the galleries selected for the fair?
For Frieze Seoul 2024, galleries submitted an application form. Applications closed in January and the selection process was carried out in April. The selection is decided on by a committee of gallerists who participate in the fair; the fair Director chairs the meeting but does not vote.
Who is on the committee?
The Frieze Seoul 2024 Committee members are: Louise Hayward, Lisson Gallery; Tina Kim, Tina Kim Gallery; Youngjoo Lee, Pace Gallery; Edouard Malingue, Kiang Malingue; Boris Vervoordt, Axel Vervoordt Gallery; Matthew Wood, Mendes Wood DM.
The Frieze Seoul 2024 Focus Asia advisors are: Joselina Cruz (Museum of Contemporary Art and Design, Manila) and Hyejung Jang (Doosan Art Center, Seoul).
