The Pit

Founded in 2014 by artists Adam D. Miller and Devon Oder, The Pit is a contemporary art gallery representing emerging and mid-career artists. Housed in a former mechanic’s shop, The Pit’s Los Angeles location comprises two exhibition spaces. In 2021 The Pit opened a secondary gallery location in Palm Springs CA. The Pit is a gallery member of New Art Dealers Alliance and represents eighteen contemporary artists, while participating in international art fairs. The gallery’s program creates historical conversations and connections between emerging and mid career artists with canonized alternative art histories such as self-taught artists, psychedelia, the graphic arts, underground comics, and the intersections of craft and fine art.
