Francesca Torzo

Architect

Francesca Torzo studied at TU Delft, ETSAB Barcelona, AAM in Mendrisio and IUAV in Venezia. In 2001-2002 she worked as a project architect for Peter Zumthor, Architekturburo and in 2003 for Bosshard Vaquer, Architekten. In 2008 Torzo opened her own office in Genova. Since 2017 Torzo has been a professor at Bergen Arkitekthøgskole. In 2018 she was a participant of the 16th Architecture Biennale in Venezia FREESPACE and was appointed 4th Chairman of MVSF in Gent. The project Z33 was awarded the international 2018 Piranesi award.
