Join Gagosian and Sadie Coles HQ for a conversation between Urs Fischer and film curator and writer Róisín Tapponi about fearless creativity and the poetics of peers and descendants. Tapponi contributed an essay entitled “He Ain’t Heavy, He’s My Brother” to "Urs Fischer: Monumental Sculpture", a new monograph published by Gagosian that gathers nearly sixty large-scale sculptures and installations made by the artist over the past twenty-five years. The talk takes place at Sadie Coles HQ, which is presenting "Urs Fischer: Scratch & Sniff" through November 9, and coincides with Gagosian’s Frieze Masters booth of John Chamberlain and Marc Newson works curated by Fischer at Regent’s Park, London, from October 9 to 13. After the talk, Fischer will sign copies of the book, which will be available for purchase.
