Maisterravalbuena was founded in 2007 as a platform for the promotion of Spanish and international art as well as intergenerational art. Its program is characterized by proposals of artistic quality, aesthetic precision and conceptual relevance, based on deep and continuous collaborations with artists, institutions, and collectors. Since its beginnings, the gallery has acted as a catalyst for exchanges and dialogues between the Spanish art scene and the rest of the world, with the intention of enriching and complexifying the history of contemporary art, both nationally and internationally.
In February 2023 Maisterravalbuena opened the doors of its new venue, a space that responds to a gallery vision focused on the importance of interpersonal relations and of the direct, physical experience with art, undersanding these as the basis for the co-production, reactivation and actualization of contents.
Masiterravalbuena currently represents A Kassen, Antonio Ballester Moreno, Jacobo Castellano, Karmelo Bermejo, José Damasceno, Jerónimo Elespe, María Luisa Fernández, Daniel Jacoby, Maria Loboda, Regina de Miguel, Néstor Sanmiguel Diest, Hiraki Sawa, Dan Shaw-Town, Cristián Silva, B. Wurtz and Silvia Bächli, as well as the estates of José Luis Alexanco and Sarah Grilo.
