Established in 2021, Sow & Tailor is a black-owned and family-operated contemporary art gallery in downtown Los Angeles. Since its inception, the gallery has regularly staged pioneering exhibitions and offsite curatorial projects with both regional and international emerging, mid-career, and established artists.
Our programming remains dedicated to promoting diversity and intersectionality by fostering a space where creatives can thrive both within our gallery and abroad. Sow & Tailor’s curatorial projects are institutionally driven, with a focus on activating cultural centres and museums, seen in past exhibitions at K11 Musea (Hong Kong) and JACCC (Los Angeles), and forthcoming at the Long Beach Museum of Art.
As of May 2023, Sow & Tailor has moved to a new location in Los Angeles, with 5,000 sqft of space, as the gallery expands into a new chapter of representing artists in a brand new location.
