Drawing Room and De La Warr Pavilion are pleased to host an Afternoon Tea and Talk at Drawing Room with artist Marc Bauer on Tuesday 1st October from 3pm to 5pm. The talk will begin at 3.30pm. Marc Bauer’s exhibition, Mal Ȇtre / Performance, explores migration as an ongoing phenomenon from Ancient Greece to the present. Bauer’s drawings highlight the motif of people on boats throughout history, interrogating the continuing role of migration in collective memory.

Marc Bauer (b. 1975, Geneva) produces serial works that are rendered almost exclusively in black-and-white, an aesthetic that evokes nostalgia, and are typically conceived as site-specific installations.
