Watch: Frieze x MUBI
Marianna Simnett on Jonathan Glazer’s Under the Skin
For our Summer Sessions, Frieze has partnered with MUBI to present a series of artist conversations celebrating and debating contemporary classic films.
In the first of these, the artist Marianna Simnett will discuss the influence of Jonathan Glazer’s eerie thriller Under the Skin (2013) on her own recent work, in conversation with frieze deputy editor, Amy Sherlock.
Frieze members can sign up here for an extended, three-month MUBI trial to watch the film ahead of the conversation, which will be broadcast live on Zoom.
Please note Under the Skin will only be available to viewers in the UK from 29 May.
Members outside of the UK should stay tuned for upcoming events.
Marianna Simnett’s The Bird Game (2019) and her twisted director’s commentary Confessions of a Crow (2021) can also be viewed for a limited time from May 29th- June 3 on the following link.
