An exclusive breakfast, curated conversation and exhibition tour of Karsten Schubert's Dialectical Materialism: Aspects of British Sculpture since the 1960s.

Join PSC’s directors Elizabeth Neilson and Lucy Tomlins for a curated conversation and exhibition tour with its curators, Dr Jon Wood and Tom Rowland, and special guest artists Olivia Bax, Frances Richardson and Alison Wilding RA.

The event will explore links between the practices of current emerging and leading sculptors and the legacies of the more established artists in the exhibition. Through the lens of the exhibited sculptures, we will consider how processes and approaches to sculptural practice have changed over the past sixty years. Built around PSC's commitment to making the making visible, the informal conversation and open discussion will reveal what goes in to the making of both artworks and the exhibition we are standing in, both conceptually and materially. Reflecting on Karsten Schubert’s own relationship with individual artists and his esteemed and long career as an art dealer, Dialectical Materialism: Aspects of British Sculpture since the1960s includes museum quality pieces by Anthony Caro, Barry Flanagan, Richard Long, William Turnbull, Rachel Whiteread and Alison Wilding RA. This is an off-site event at Park Village Studios, NW1, just off Regent's Park. Pangaea Sculptors' Centre is an organisation which brings together the production of sculpture with critical, cultural and educational programming on this art form. Branch Arts initiates and facilitates projects and collaborations in the arts. It forges unique links between artists and the wider cultural sector, with institutions and corporate partners.
