Join us 6-9pm at our London gallery on Thursday 10 October for an evening viewing of Kehinde Wiley’s solo exhibition, part of Frieze West End Night. Wiley’s vibrant and highly naturalistic paintings of contemporary African-American and African-Diasporic men and women subvert the hierarchies and conventions of classical portraiture. The artist engages the visual rhetoric of the powerful, majestic and sublime in his subjects, who adopt heroic poses directly referencing European and American portraiture.
Booking is not required.
