Frieze 91 members are invited to an intimate evening with interior designer Tatjana von Stein and curator Piero Tomassoni, joined by design journalist Roddy Clarke for an ‘in conversation’ exploring the art of designing for the modern collector. Refreshments will be provided.
The world of collecting has evolved in recent years as younger audiences find a passion for items with provenance and homes take inspiration from gallery settings and luxury hospitality environments. In merging the worlds of art, design and furniture, how do interior designers and art curators work in tandem to create spaces that truly resonate with the modern collector? In conversation with Tatjana von Stein and Piero Tomassoni, Roddy Clarke goes behind the scenes at the show apartment of 60 Curzon to uncover the magic behind its curation and how, through open dialogue and collaboration, it has resulted in an elevated interior that evokes imagination through the interwoven narratives of each piece on display.
Tatjana Von Stein

Founded in 2016, the London-based design studio, Tatjana von Stein (formerly Sella Concept), is best known for creating intuitive interiors for their clients. Projects range from high end residential to restaurants, members clubs and hotels, working across multiple locations including London, New York, Paris, Zurich and Mallorca.
Founder & Creative Director, Tatjana von Stein, has a shared French/German heritage, and brings a unique approach to her designs, considering the psychology of space and the impact of the design on those experiencing it. The studio’s spaces imbue movement and warmth and reference design history with a contemporary twist. Whilst Tatjana’s approach to each project is versatile, a subtle nod to the past is the common thread throughout her designs.
In 2023, Tatjana von Stein founded her eponymous brand and first furniture collection: Mise en Scene. Drawing from a spectrum of influences, the collection is born of von Stein’s intuitive process and is produced in collaboration with some of France’s finest artisans.
