Created in 2017, The Ned originated in the former Midland Bank headquarters, designed by Sir Edwin 'Ned' Lutyens in 1924. The Grade I listed building now houses 250 bedrooms, 10 restaurants, 12 bars, a range of men’s and women’s grooming services and ‘Ned’s Club’, where members have access to a rooftop pool, a state-of-the-art gym, spa, hammam and late-night lounge bar created in the bank’s original vault.
Ned’s Club is for cultured professionals with diverse backgrounds, interests, and lifestyles. In 2022 the Club expanded across the globe to New York and Doha (Washington, DC opening this Winter). Each property is slightly different depending on its location, but the ethos of the Club remains the same.
The Ned London’s art collection curated by Soho House Head of Collections Kate Bryan is on display throughout the property and draws attention to gender disparity in the art world and beyond, the collection is proudly women-led and pays homage to the building's history as the Midland Bank.
Ned’s Club membership offers global access to exclusive spaces, including members-only bars, restaurants, wellness facilities, and rooftop areas. Additionally, members enjoy a curated calendar of events including wellness, culture, entertainment, food, and drink experiences, all designed to connect industry leaders, luxury brands, and notable talents.
