Frieze at the K11 Foundation
To celebrate the Hong Kong debut of Cheng Ran's epic 9-hour film In Course of the Miraculous, frieze contributing editor Colin Chinnery will be in conversation with artists Cheng Ran and Enoch Cheng at the K11 Art Foundation, this Sunday 20 March.
Premiering at the prestigious Istanbul Biennale in 2015 to critical acclaim, In Course of the Miraculous is based on three recorded events that end mysteriously and as the film develops, the progression enters the dominion of fiction, creating imagined dialogues discussing larger themes of action, courage and bravery. To encourage audiences to have a deeper engagement with the film, the session will reveal the creative processes behind the work.
