Baert Gallery was established by Christian Baert in Los Angeles in 2016 and has since presented a wide-ranging program of exhibitions and events showcasing European and Los Angeles-based artists. The gallery has also participated in Frieze LA and several different iterations of the Untitled Art Fair in Miami and San Francisco. Working mainly with emerging artists, the gallery prides itself in creating a dialog between the West Coast and European artists, curators, critics, and collectors. The gallery is committed to providing studio and production support to its artists to foster their innovative ideas and creativity. In order to reach a wider audience, the gallery also supports artist publications and regular live performances by multidisciplinary artists in the gallery space. In 2020, the gallery moved to its current location in the lower Arts District in Downtown Los Angeles. The 1,500 sq-ft (140 sq-m) exhibition space, located in a repurposed warehouse, provides an ideal backdrop to present artworks across media, including installation, sculpture, painting, video, and performance.
