Originally founded in 1977 in London, the gallery relocated to Paris in 1996, in the elegant surroundings of an hôtel particulier in the rue du Faubourg Saint-Honoré.
The gallery has two rare and special fields of focus: Early Italian (Gothic to Renaissance) paintings and 16th to 18th century pietra dura (semi-precious and hardstone) objects. It is also well known for its selection of 16th and 17th century Italian paintings.
Exhibitions are regularly held in the gallery, accompanied by scholarly catalogues (notably of 14th and 15th century Italian paintings), with widespread coverage in the national and international press. These have become a regular port of call for collectors, museum curators and amateurs alike. The most recent exhibition was "The Madonna – Eternal Woman", in 2019.
Past exhibitions have also included "18th century views of Venice and capricci (1725-1835)", "Sumptuous hardstone and marble pieces" and "Italian Caravaggesque painters".
