Since 1999, Kamel Mennour presents in his three parisian galleries (47 rue Saint-André des Arts, 6 rue du Pont de Lodi and 28 Avenue Matignon) the works of 40 contemporary artists who are internationally recognized; and opened in 2016 a fourth venue in London, at 51 Brook Street.
Through the publication of catalogues, exhibitions, biennales and fairs all over the world, kamel mennour presents, supports and defends the work of artists such as Mohamed Bourouissa, Daniel Buren, Petrit Halilaj, Camille Henrot, Huang Yong Ping, Anish Kapoor, Tadashi Kawamata, Bertrand Lavier, Lee Ufan, Claude Lévêque, François Morellet, Neïl Beloufa, Martial Raysse, Ugo Rondinone, and Tatiana Trouvé.
Since 2014, he pursuies a philanthropic commitment to the Institute Imagine by organizing charity auctions. He was nominated the most respected european art dealer by artnet in 2015, and listed in the 50 most influential French people in the world in 2017, by the Vanity Fair. In 2019, Kamel Mennour celebrated the 20th anniversary of the gallery. A seminal publication and programming a series of exhibitions celebrating 2 decades of work is following.
kamel mennour vision includes 3 principle aims:
• to organize, support and produce exhibitions by young contemporary artists as Latifa Echakhch, Alicja Kwade, Christodoulos Panayiotou, Petrit Halilaj, Mohamed Bourouissa, Neïl Beloufa, and Camille Henrot among other ; to promote them worldwide especially through institutions exhibitions, international Biennals and art fairs.
• to heighten our audience’s awareness of international artists such as Anish Kapoor, Douglas Gordon, Tadashi Kawamata, Huang Yong Ping and Ugo Rondinone ; and to collaborate with major French artists as Daniel Buren, François Morellet, Bertrand Lavier or Claude Lévêque among others.
• to publish four publications per year (a selection of 55 titles is available on our website), and also organize debates with artists, critics and curators.
