francesca kaufmann galleria first opened in January 2000. Since then, the gallery has aimed to explore a diverse range of media, focusing in particular on video and site specific installation, with a special attention drawn towards works by female artists.
After ten years in its historical location, the gallery opened in a new space in October 2010, under the name kaufmann repetto, to mark the partnership between Francesca Kaufmann and Chiara Repetto.
In 2013, the gallery inaugurated a new location in Chelsea, New York, extending the program of the Milanese gallery internationally.
In 2019, the venue in New York has relocated to 55 Walker Street in Tribeca. 55 Walker is a collaborative exhibition space operated by Bortolami Gallery, kaufmann repetto, and Andrew Kreps Gallery.
