Through art, Vermelho positions itself as a space for dialogue, provocations, and reflections. Always with the artists’ proposals as protagonists, the gallery’s mission is to activate creative production and establish collaborations between artists, collectors, institutions, other galleries, and the public.
Founded in São Paulo in 2002, Vermelho represents different generations of contemporary Latin American artists currently active. Its main focus is on post-conceptualist production and the articulation between various forms of artistic expression, such as performance, dance, cinema, music, fashion, and literature.
Vermelho has an extensive history of collaborations with public and private institutions open to the public. Since its inauguration, the gallery as positioned works by over 40 artists in 234 public and private institutions in 28 countries across all continents.
Vermelho’s interdisciplinary vocation has driven the creation of spaces suitable for the different languages of artistic expression.
