FALSE FLAG pursues projects that would otherwise remain unrealized.

The gallery was founded in 2017 in a shuttered foundry that engaged in legitimate fabrication for many years, but collapsed in 2014 when the former owner was convicted of fraud: 'FALSE FLAG' is taken from the forged Jasper Johns 'Flag' sculpture that brought down the enterprise. This history informs FALSE FLAG’s purpose: to support artists willing to take risk.
