Explore virtual booths by galleries from all around the world, including a solo presentation of Esther Pearl Watson (Vielmetter Los Angeles), works by Chinese artist Ding Yi (Timothy Taylor) and Helina Metaferia (Addis Fine Art); murals by Victoria Lomasko (Edel Assanti), ceramics by Erin Jane Nelson (Chapter NY), alongside many others.
Don't forget to watch HBO's documentary Black Art: In the Absence of Light (2021) inspired by the extraordinary impact of David Driskell’s landmark 1976 exhibition, Two Centuries of Black American Art, is an introduction to the work of some of the foremost African American visual artists working today. The documentary is directed by Sam Pollard and available to watch here (US audiences only).
At The Shed, explore booths by world-leading galleries and the most exciting young spaces in Frame, where Bogotá-based gallery Instituto de Visión has been awarded the 2021 Frame Stand Prize for their solo presentation of works by Wilson Díaz, alongside honorable mentions to Gordon Robichaux and Miscroscope Gallery.
In the McCourt don't miss an installation by the 2021 Frieze Artist Award winner Precious Okoyomon. A recording of Okoyomon's perfomance-activated installation, that took place on April 28, is available to watch here.
