Patrick Lee Appointed Director of Frieze Seoul

Patrick Lee has been appointed Director of Frieze Seoul, the new fair by Frieze that will take place for the first time 2-5 September 2022 at COEX in the Gangnam District of the city.

In this position Pat will work closely with Minju Kweon, who has been appointed to the new role of Head of VIP relations, Asia. Together with the global Frieze team they will deliver an ambitious programme to launch Frieze’s first venture in Seoul and lead Frieze’s outreach in the region.

Pat has over 15 years of experience working in the arts, most recently as Executive Director of Gallery Hyundai in Seoul and previously as partner and director of ONE AND J. Gallery also located in Seoul.

Launching in partnership with the Galleries Association of Korea, the new fair will demonstrate a shared commitment to celebrating the city’s thriving creative community.

Frieze Seoul will run alongside Kiaf SEOUL, South Korea’s leading art fair, which has showcased the best Korean galleries for the past 20 years. Together, the two events will bring galleries from across Asia and the rest of the world to Seoul, creating an unmissable week of activity for both local and international art audiences.
