Art:LIVE is a series of original video content that brings to the viewer accessible expert insights into recent developments in contemporary art and culture, produced in partnership with Frieze’s Global Lead Partner Deutsche Bank.
From the Met Gala to major exhibitions across the city, May is one of the busiest months in the cultural life of New York. Galleries including White Cube and Stephen Friedman have announced plans to open new spaces in the city, cementing its place as the unofficial capital of the global art world.
Presented by Matthew McLean, Art:LIVE taps into this energy across town and at the Shed, where this year’s Frieze New York offers a chance to encounter presentations by key local galleries as well as new international exhibitors, a raft of ambitious solo stands, tie-ins to important institutional exhibitions and platforms for New York’s nonprofits.
