Celebrating its 35th anniversary this year, Johyun Gallery opened a new space at the Shilla Hotel in Seoul this past May.
Following exhibitions of Kishio Suga and Claude Viallat, Johyun Gallery will present a solo exhibition of artist Lee Bae.
This exhibition highlights on sculpture and follows the large-scale exhibitions held at the 60th Venice Biennale and Johyun Gallery in Busan. Lee Bae's sculptures vividly demonstrate his exploration of materiality beyond two-dimensional painting and his expanded approach to space.
This exhibition aims to provide international collector visiting Frieze Seoul with a significant opportunity to experience contemporary Korean art.
The opening reception will include an artist talk, offering an in-depth understanding of his work.
