Join us during Frieze week in Los Angeles for an in-gallery panel discussion focusing on the life and legacy of Sam Gilliam. This conversation takes place on the occasion of 'Sam Gilliam: The Last Five Years,' a two-part exhibition by David Kordansky Gallery and Pace. The paintings in this presentation were produced in the final years of Gilliam's life and include iconic typologies such as his Drapes, tondos, and watercolors.
The panel discussion, organized in collaboration with Pace, will feature Thelma Golden, director and chief curator at the Studio Museum in Harlem and Naima J. Keith, vice president of education and public programs at LACMA, with moderation by Teresa Eggers, director of institutional relations at David Kordansky Gallery.
Complimentary valet parking and refreshments will be available for guests.
