David Lewis is a contemporary art gallery TriBeCa neighborhood of Downtown Manhattan. The gallery was founded in 2013 and currently represents twenty-one artists. From its inception, the gallery has featured rigorous exhibition programming, representing outstanding emerging artists at the beginnings of their careers, as well as significant historical artists (Barbara Bloom, Mary Beth Edelson, Thornton Dial, Todd Gray and Peter Schlesinger). The gallery has also established a reputation for exceptional, discursively forward-thinking group exhibitions as well as a longstanding commitment to a schedule of performance, lectures, and panel discussions, which have helped to foster the reputations of the artists internationally.
