Established in 2017, P21 is located in the heart of Seoul, Itaewon district. The gallery is dedicated to contemporary art created in present day by international artists working in diverse media. P21 continues to promote artists at all career levels from emerging, mid-career to established. Originally comprised of two separate storefront cubes—P1 and P2—encourages artists to conceive and realize new ideas to result in site-specific presentations. As of February 2024 P21 has relocated to an larger new space in a heritage brick building located just 100m down the road from the original space. The move to a new, larger space signifies not only a physical shift but a deliberate commitment to advancing our dedication to varied and representative narratives With an international outlook, the gallery endeavors to provide a greater platform for its artists through a close collaboration with institutions and by participating in selected international art fairs.
