Content Production Assistant

We're looking for a Content Production Assistant to work on videos and editorial promoting  and documenting all five Frieze Fairs, as well as year-round content for VIP and Membership audiences.

What You’ll Be Doing

As part of the Frieze Branded Content team, the Content Production Assistant works on videos and editorial promoting and documenting all five Frieze Fairs, as well as year-round content for VIP and Membership audiences. Working closely with the Creative Lead and Content Producer of Frieze branded content, this role is a key support on digital editorial production, including news articles, video trailers and social clips, artist profiles and the documentation of talks and performances. 

 

Key Responsibilities Include But Not Limited To:

Administration& Research 

  • Processing Invoices 
  • Setting up meetings and taking minutes 
  • Coordinating filming permits, insurance and talent agreements 
  • A key contact for galleries taking part in Frieze fairs, conducting regular outreach for information and images  
  • Overseeing a database of fair images and presentation information, provided by galleries and curators  
  • Researching artists and art world trends;  
  • Finding highlights and trends in fair presentations, to inform the content strategy 
  • Working on image selections and editing gallery materials into accessible briefing documents  
  • Providing ad-hoc support to the Frieze Studios & Branded Content team 

Written Editorial & Video 

  • Drafting event news and programme articles in Frieze’s voice 
  • Supporting on other frieze digital content, including proof-reading web copy  
  • Supporting the Content Producer to organise insurance, contracts, waivers, risk assessments and logistics for film shoots  
  • Assisting Frieze video crews onsite at Frieze fairs 

Website & Digital  

  • Creating articles and uploading videos to frieze.com, on time and according to SEO and Frieze style guidelines  
  • Reporting on digital performance for all branded content using Google analytics and JW Player 
  • Coordinating with the digital team on assets for the Frieze app 

Key Strengths

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent 
  • Knowledge and awareness of artists and the art world 
  • Experience in communications, marketing or production 
  • Ability to work under pressure, with high attention to detail  
  • A strong sense of what constitutes clear, concise and articulate writing 
  • An interest in video and social media
  • Native or bilingual proficiency in English 
  • A proven ability to work to tight deadlines and stay calm under pressure 
  • An excellent copywriter  
  • Good proofreading and editing skills 
  • Proven ability to multitask many different responsibilities, while maintaining a keen eye for details 
  • Exceptional communication skills and a team player 
  • Experience within a related environment such as a commercial gallery, museum, international art fair or publication 
  • Experience in video production 
  • Website editing experience 
  • Mailchimp experience 
  • Familiarity with Google analytics 

Working Conditions

  • This is a Permanent Contract.
  • The location is Surrey Street, London.
  • Working hours are 10:00 - 18:00.
  • There may be travel to New York, Los Angeles, Seoul and elsewhere for fairs and film shoots
