The Creative Producer at Frieze Studios, Frieze’s in-house creative agency, plays a central role in creating and managing branded content solutions for a diverse range of brands, institutions, and sponsors. Working closely with the Partnerships team, the Creative Producer ideates, plans, and executes engaging content and activations, ensuring alignment with Frieze’s creative vision. This role oversees the end-to-end delivery of projects, including branded and custom content, white-label projects, digital-first content, videos, native articles, and social content.
Location: London, GB
Travel to fair and project locations as required.
Key Responsibilities
Project & Content Production
Oversee and manage 360° creative production across multiple formats (photo, video, digital, print, social, live events) for a global portfolio of brands.
Drive the creation of compelling, high-quality creative content that reflects Frieze’s aesthetic standards.
Manage the full production process from concept through delivery, ensuring projects stay within budget and on schedule.
Work with internal and external teams to deliver shoots, custom publishing products, and on-site activations at fairs or offsite projects.
Coordinate production schedules, budgets, and timelines, maintaining efficiency and high-quality standards throughout.
Lead production planning, from hiring and coordinating crews to handling shoot logistics and post-production.
Client & Partner Collaboration
Collaborate closely with the Partnerships, Studios Director and Creative Director to align on creative concepts, ensuring final deliverables meet both Frieze’s standards and client expectations.
Liaise with clients, representing Frieze Studios in meetings and managing the client’s approval process.
Write and present proposals, conducting research and preparing visuals to support pitches.
Contribute ideas to branded and co-branded projects, suggesting talent and strategies to strengthen client campaigns.
Team & Partner Management
Manage and supervise permanent, freelance, and temporary staff, including assistant and creative producers, involved in production and events.
Build and maintain a roster of production partners, artists, and freelance professionals.
Ensure proper workflows are in place, directing staff to follow established processes.
Negotiate with production partners and talent representatives, as well as manage contracts and legal aspects related to licensing, rights, and agreements.
Strategic & Cultural Insight
Leverage deep cultural and creative knowledge to create content that resonates with audiences and enhances brand engagement.
Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of the contemporary art world, fabrication techniques, and emerging technologies.
Produce and deliver projects that align with Frieze’s tone of voice, visual style, and creative codes.
Essential Skills & Requirements
Extensive experience in branded content production across multiple platforms.
Strong understanding of global digital advertising and ability to think strategically.
Proven project management skills with the ability to manage concurrent projects efficiently.
Excellent knowledge of both traditional and digital content production.
Outstanding communication skills and a highly collaborative, detail-oriented work style.
Exceptional ability to multitask, prioritize, and adapt within a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency in budgeting, timeline management, and Excel.
Familiarity with industry tools (InDesign, SketchUp) is a plus.
Network within creative industries, including artists, talent, and production freelancers.
Knowledge of key legal requirements for productions, including health and safety and insurance compliance.
Preferred Experience
Experience producing shoots and events worldwide.
Background in a relevant environment, such as commercial galleries, museums, art fairs, or publications.
Strong experience collaborating with artists and curators on creative projects.
Deep understanding of the contemporary art world and emerging cultural trends.
Additional languages are beneficial.
This role is ideal for a candidate with a proven track record in creative production, excellent strategic and cultural insight, and the ability to oversee diverse, large-scale projects from conception through to delivery.
