The role:
To oversee and manage the circulation of Frieze international, as well as the distribution of other titles produced by Frieze Publishing, such as Frieze Masters and Frieze Week. The Distribution and Circulation Manager will also be responsible for onsite distribution logistics at Frieze Fairs and other art/book fairs and events and will act as the primary liaison for distributors and retailers.
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities
- Develop and implement circulation strategies with agreed objectives
- Manage strategy and product fulfilment of online publishing sales; work closely with the Customer Service Manager to monitor subscriptions management and fulfilment
- Oversee major budget line items across distribution, including bulk mailing, special placement, subscriber/issue fulfilment
- Compile monthly distribution reports
- Manage relationship with mailing house(s), including briefings for each issue
- Oversee relationships with distributors and retailers, negotiating remits and quantities across all territories
- Research and approach prospective new retailers and distributors
- Work with the legal team on distributor and retailer contracts
- Manage online shop, including product uploading, Direct Debit and automatic credit card payment cycles
- Liaise closely with the Content Operations Manager, Editorial Coordinator and marketing department on print runs for all Frieze Publishing products
- Manage onsite distribution logistics for all Frieze Publishing products at Frieze Fairs and other art/book fairs and events
- Liaise closely with the Associate Publisher to devise a yearly special placement plan to optimise visibility for all products
- Manage stock levels across international mailing house(s), distributors and company storage
- Ensure data capture/use/storage is accurate and in line with current legislation
- Occasional travel to Frieze Fairs and other art/book fairs and events as required.
