Tovey was winning plaudits for his turn in ‘Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf’ on Broadway when the pandemic closed theatre land down early in 2020: returning to London, he explains, he found succour in spending time with his growing collection of contemporary art - and in conversing with the likes of Elton John, Jerry Saltz and Wolfgang Tillmans on ‘TalkArt’, the podcast he co-hosts with Robert Diament.
