All visitors are invited to Diálogos, a themed section of the fair focusing on art by contemporary Latinx and Latin American artists including Ana Mendieta at Galerie Lelong & Co., Ken Gonzales-Day at Luis De Jesus and Dario Robleto at Inman Gallery, amongst others.
Be sure to head over to Frame, a section of the fair showcasing solo artist project by galleries aged ten years or younger. New multimedia work by Leslie Thornton looks closely at CERN, while woven works by Diedrick Brackens - purchased by the Brooklyn Museum this week - look at the figure of the Black cowboy in the 19th century. Elsewhere in Frame, a 1974 film installation by Takahiko Iimura is on display.
In the Talks Lounge the programme of special events will continue, with talks starting at 11am. Highlights include Simone Leigh in conversation with Saidiya Hartman and Sheila Heti speaking to Josephine Decker. In the MATCHESFASHION.COM Lounge join acclaimed designer Christopher Kane, who will be discussing sex and fashion with founder of The Sex Ed, Liz Goldwyn. Designer Grace Wales Bonner will also be speaking in the Matches lounge, as she joins Nick Sethi to speak about the dialogue between art and fashion
In between the talks, look out for Little Hell Gate, a special Daata Editions playlist for Frieze New York, which features artists including Holly Blakey, Jacolby Satterwhite, Zadie Xa and Lu Yang.Special fair events continue throughout the city. Head down to Rockefeller Center to check out Frieze Sculpture, curated by Brett Littman. 14 international artists are exhibiting work, including Nick Cave, Walter De Maria, Goshka Macuga, Sarah Sza and Hank Willis Thomas.
Frieze continues into the evening with Chelsea Night, taking place at various downtown galleries. Look out for special openings at galleries including Gagosian, Kasmin, Malborough and many more.
