Art:LIVE is a series of original video content that brings to the viewer accessible expert insights into recent developments in contemporary art and culture, produced in partnership with Frieze’s Global Lead Partner Deutsche Bank.
This edition of Art:LIVE comes from Seoul, where Frieze launches its first fair in Asia, in a moment of increasing acknowledgement of Korea within the global art conversation. Hosted by Frieze’s Matthew McLean, the video tour explores the city, and reports from activity at the fair’s opening day at COEX – featuring young galleries from across Asia, major Korean masters and perspectives from Seoul-based curators and dealers.
The fifth fair launched by Frieze, and its first venture in Asia, Frieze Seoul 2022 features a strong contingent of Asian galleries, joined by international galleries from 20 countries. Celebrating the city’s creative community, the fair takes place alongside Kiaf SEOUL, operated by the Galleries Association of Korea.
