Amado Art Space is a non-profit art organization that opened in June 2013. It is situated within a renovated three-storey residential house from the 1970s. As an alternative to the commercial art market and conventional institutional practices, the space values the process of making and collaboration, with the aim of opening up a dialogue for diverse art discourse and activate criticism.
With its regular program of exhibitions and annual open calls for artists and curators, it also runs its research program of multifaceted practices to bring together individuals from diverse disciplines and backgrounds. Through these open collaborations where the boundaries are perhaps ('amado') (un)clear, it strives to foster an open community where diverse aesthetic values can be shared.
