The winter issue of frieze d/e is out now, with a focus on painting today. Featured artists include Kerstin Brätsch, Daniel Richter, Pauline Boudry and Renate Lorenz; with an exclusive project by Christian Waldvogel and an essay by Amy Sillman.

Martin Herbert explores the fluid collaborations and market subversions of Kerstin Brätsch and her mutating project KAYA.
